Enabling a supermarket chain to expand
OUR TEAM
A local supermarket chain wanted to expand one of its smaller stores into additional space located in two adjacent buildings with common walls. This presented multiple issues, including the divergent interests of different owners, insurance and liability concerns, and covenants requiring the approval of multiple parties. As a result, the expansion seemed impossible, or at least impractical. Socius helped the chain develop a strategy for the project. We successfully negotiated with the many interested parties and drafted the documents required for the expansion.
Today, the space located in the three buildings operates as a seamless, integrated, and highly successful supermarket.
