Sherman has practiced estate planning and probate law for over 20 years. He has prepared hundreds of wills and trusts for individuals and families with various needs across Washington. Clients rely on him as a lifetime counselor who helps them look ahead and identify considerations down the road.

Sherman distills complicated legal concepts for his clients so that they understand their best options through sometimes sticky and emotional situations. He offers guidance on realistic steps to take given their life circumstances. Always client-centered, Sherman has regularly made house calls for clients with mobility or health issues.

Navigating the complexities and moving parts in estate plans can be challenging when a second marriage, children, business entities, or real property is involved. Sherman’s family has a long history in Washington, beginning with homesteading the family farm in Eastern Washington in the 1870s. With three adult children, Sherman now lives in downtown Seattle and loves being able to walk to the ballet and opera. Having recently invested in a record player, one of his favorite things to do is visit record stores to add to his collection of treasured 1980s and ’90s albums. He also still enjoys getting out to the family farm and to local wildlife preserves for bird watching and hiking in the Cascades.

Sherman’s first career was in religious ministry. He loves how his legal practice allows him to continue supporting people and being of service to them and their families in both happy and difficult times.
