Tom is a seasoned real estate attorney with more than 35 years of experience handling transactions, property issues and business litigation. He brings deep knowledge of the nuances of real estate law and understands the real estate business. He also serves as a mediator and has helped parties resolve numerous business and real estate disputes.
Tom helps clients structure business transactions to avoid problems in the first place. When disputes arise, he is a dedicated advocate for his clients, putting them in the best position to prevail.
Having been down the road in real estate and business litigation many times, Tom knows the most effective approaches to getting results. Each case is unique and requires thoughtful strategies. Tom helps clients understand what they can expect to accomplish in resolving their dispute. He has resolved hundreds of real estate and commercial disputes through summary judgment, arbitration, or mediation. He has also successfully tried jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts and won numerous appeals.
His clients include real property owners, lenders, developers, title companies, homeowner associations, escrow agents, and real estate professionals. Tom represents both landlords and tenants, buyers and sellers, and property owners on either side of a dispute.
Prior to working in private practice, Tom served as Law Clerk to 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Thomas Tang in Phoenix, Arizona.
